Hi guys! I am finally ready to share a video compilation of our family from our weekend trip to Sydney. Took me a fair bit of time to get around to it actually, better late than never is my mantra as I go through each day with two kids and plenty of chores at hand.
It takes a lot of effort and time to first record tiny clips and then compile and edit them. I almost didn’t do it for the sake of all the hassle. But I am so glad I did it and how it turned out. I never want to miss out on making these videos because I just went through this one and it brought back so many live memories of our time in Melbourne when we came for a visit last year.
I think videos are a way of transporting us back in time exactly how it was, as opposed to photos being just a freeze in time. There is a lot to be said about a good photograph and i am the biggest advocate of natural, candid ones myself. But I cherish the videos even more for they hold in them the full laughter of a baby who is now all grown up, how the birds flew when a certain toddler chased them, how the wind blew and all the hair with it, spontaneous playful dancing, our love for each other just how it is and not some posed, timed perfection. Family videos are my most favorite thing.
So without further ado, I share this one with you. The coolest part in this one is definitely when we drive across the Harbor Bridge, I am still not over it, do watch out for it at the end of the video. And please no-one make fun of my song selection for this one, it was just stuck in my head those days and when i played it at the back of the video for fun, it sounded just right to me. A little bit of imperfection is a must.
Hope you enjoy it. xx
