Last Saturday, we went down to have a family breakfast at PAUL. To be honest, taking the kids out of the apartment and into the car is such a big deal at times that I am often left wondering if it is worth it? This was one such day where we had to make a stopover because someone threw up a bit in the car (urghh!!). For someone like us doing the parenting gig for the past four years now, we have learned to pick our battles and let some things slide by just like that. Anyways, off to the PAUL we went whose macaroons we are crazy about!
Despite our kids not sitting in their seats for more than five minutes, we still had a good time. Their workers might have to clean up extra hard that day and there wasn’t any salt left in their s&p shakers by the time we left (oops!) but this is how it is with kids no? Please tell me we are not the only ones who face this in restaurants. (although i am pretty sure noone has it as rough as us with our two wild beings). On the other hand, the staff there was really friendly and sweet with our kids and thats always a plus.
Amidst the chaos and the splattered sugar, there were some nice moments too (lol!). Of which i am sharing some photos below.I love him like crazy!Their outdoor space was adorable. Would be lovely to sit and eat here in winters or in summer nights even.Ok. This is THE BEST french toast I have ever had in my entire life. Really crusty and crispy on the outside and soft, almost gooey in the middle. Me and the husband may have fought over the last few bites of it. Next to this, our savoury dish of chicken crepes didn’t stand a chance. This little guy over here drinks his tea like an old granny who means business. He licks my cup of really strong, sugarless tea clean in a few minutes. Gotta admire his talent 😉
Thats it for now from over here. But I have a couple of really yummy recipes to share soon so keep watching this space. xxx
