Hello & Welcome!!

on

Hi guys! I have started a Family Lifestyle blog that covers food, travel, lifestyle photography and my motherhood journey.

This is my small happy corner on the web where I will share bits and pieces of my life; any recipes I try and create, toddler activities and adventures that I plan for my kids, crafts and DIY projects that i do around the house and of course our travel stories and other adventures and the daily hubba-hub that we take on as a family of four.

Being a mother has changed me, in the best possible way. I will be sharing my motherhood journey, revelling in the joyful experiences, thinking out loud the worries that come with it, sharing tips here and there on what I have learned along the way, specially on raising little boys as I have two of them:)

I am really passionate about travelling, food and family lifestyle photography — capturing those imperfect, candid moments that hold all the love and magic rather than the posed/perfect ones. But none of these passions come close to what I feel for my family which is something much more than love, and which will be fairly depicted in my posts here.

To be honest, I have been going back and forth with this idea for a couple of years now and i wasn’t sure how to approach it. But now my biggest motivating factor is my family’s move to KSA. When we decided to take the plunge and i turned to the trusty google to help me find some online blogs and communities that will enable me to peak through the lives of other expat families living there and give the basic guidelines of the challenging environment there, although i found a few of them but nothing of the kind that i was looking for. So i thought why don’t  I create that much-needed platform myself and chronicle my way through it from the beginning. Things like settling in and making home in the business hub of KSA i.e. Riyadh. Exploring the city with kids: parks and other outdoor/indoor adventures. FOOD!!! I have been told many times to watch out for my already quite expanded waistline there as the food there is amazing and affordable and also one of the main sources of entertainment is eating out, ha! We really feel so blessed and privileged for the chance to live so close to the Holy cities of Makkah and Medinah. I am really excited about the move which will happen in the coming month or so Inshallah, I believe that it came at just the right time for our family and that we can really benefit from it. I am fully aware of the challenges that come with living in KSA specially for females but i have got my BRING-IT-ON suit on. Whats life without challenges anyways? What matters is how we brave through them and still have a content smile at our face at the end of the day.

Mostly it will be about my little family and until we move, I will be updating it with some food recipes, some past travel videos and some heartfelt words on motherhood and whatever comes along with it. Words and ideas keep coming to me rather generously so i am glad i finally have a space where i can put it all down systematically and have a pretty comprehensive life journal to look back at. Cause THAT will be my favourite bit always.

I would love for you to follow along and give your support and tell me your thoughts about it.  Cheers! 🙂

I have been living in riyadh since I was born. If you have any questions, you are free to ask. Though looking at some of your posts recently, I think you know how to get your way around 😀 btw I started blogging for the same purpose, to give some sort of insight to an expat’s life… All the best
