Who doesn’t love charred, sticky, caramelized, spicy BBQ wings!! They are ultimate comfort for me. This dish of wings particularly was so finger-licking good that from now on they will be a definite part of any dinner menu i host. I have found the perfect appetizers. The recipe is fairly easy to make and the sauce specially is out of this world amazing! Do give it a try and let me know how they turn out to be. 🙂
1 kg chicken wings with skin (I used knns)
½ cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 heaped teaspoon crushed fresh garlic
1 teaspoon crushed chili flakes
1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika powder
1 cup barbecue sauce
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons hot sauce
4 tablespoons butter
1⁄2 teaspoon crushed fresh garlic
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
In a small bowl, mix together flour, salt, crushed garlic and the spices. Wash, dry, and dip the wings into the flour mixture until coated. Cover a baking tray with butter paper/foil and cover it with a thin coating of oil. Place the wings in a single layer on the baking tray and put in the oven. Cook for approx 30 minutes, depending on the size of the wings, turning once. While they are baking, make the sauce by slowly simmering the sauce ingredients over the lowest heat.
When the wings are done baking, carefully dip them in the sauce, put them back on the tray and sprinkle generous amount of sesame seeds. Place them back in the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbling. Garnish with fresh coriander. Enjoy.
